Summer Perfections
The sun cries upon nighttime
Later sets the gorgeous rays
Causing the moon to call upon its shift
Closer to the start of each day
The skin of each and every breathing soul
Becomes darker throughout time
Tanning calls upon every corner
Rusting out our school-zoned minds
The coating stitched onto our heads
Gets lighter as the heat pours
Chilling back under the sweet summer sun
Begging for no less, but rather more
Music explodes from every speaker
Louder than the world can control
Beats bounce off every surface
It's time for a little rock and roll
Freedom lingers in the warm air
The entire future is up to only you
Anything is possible in a world of smiles
As joy screams from every road you may choose
This is the time of the year
When people reach the clouds and touch the sky
Because we can truly consider ourselves free
Even if we trip from flying too high
