The Wind
I am like the wind.
I travel everywhere and anywhere without the slightest clue as to where I’ll end up.
Every decision I make is random and lacking a plan.
I go for long periods of time without sleep so that I can roam the nighttime streets alone.
I take the city bus and ride around for hours with no set destination.
I go to graveyards and mourn the dead that I have never known.
I attend parties that I was never invited to.
That’s just me, always seeking but never finding.
I know that life will take its own path,
And I must follow my heart.
But my dreams are so vivid and my feet move so fast,
That I act before I get a chance to think.
And I realize that this may be my downfall,
But maybe it could be my best quality, too.
