My Fairy Tale
My lover dressed as a prince
Doesn't live in an elegant castle of tales
With a dungeon to protect my heart
As it sends its passion out to sail
I am no princess protected
By walls that trap my love in a jar
That is then sent off to a royal palace
For those to share from afar
My fortress isn't surrounded by knights
And a water-ditch that begs from the ground
Allowing my fellow royalties
To be nothing but safe and sound
My life has no fairy tale ending
That speaks a picture perfect life
Because no matter how much we want to believe it
Such a story is not true in real life
