The Darkest Path
I look down the path I have chosen. It is dark and foggy with dying trees on either side, somewhat a living horror movie. A phantom being guides me to a lake. Mist hangs in the chilly air, giving mere existence and eerie feeling. A tingling sensation sweeps over me. I take in the depth of the darkness that surrounds me. I feel the essence of the phantom looming in the shadows, watching, waiting. My gaze shifts upward, as if the hazy fog would hold the answers I was so desperately searching for. The stars twinkled dimly through the fog of twilight. I found my answer, proving that there is light, even on the darkest path.
