Riches
When most people think of riches
They think of the shine of gold
Of the softness of silk
Maybe the quality of fresh bread and milk.
But even, when I am presented with a pearl
Coming from the crystal depths of the sea
Riches are not gold, silver, or the smallest pearls
Friendship and love is what I see.
Material objects are already made
And can be destroyed all together.
But the love of family, or the joy of friendship
Can last for the limits of forever.
Forever is a long time
And gems or metals can’t last that whole time.
But friendship, love, that’s what matters
If we concentrate on those values
We can live thorough time.
