I am an Angel

To be high ranked in the nation,
It takes more than dedication.
It takes strength and confidence,
without getting too tense.
Being twelve feet above the ground-
I feel as light as a pound.
Flying through the sky during the sunset,
While not having a single regret.
At that moment when I clear the bar,
I see everyone cheering from a far.
This is my life as a pole vaulter-
Using my wings to fly like an angel.
