Ode to My Cheez-Its
Your box is rectangular
Red and yellow
With you on the cover,
Like you’re a movie star
Like you’re a movie star
When I come home
I automatically open my pantry door
And you’re always there, waiting
To bring me joy
You have a sharp cheddar cheesiness taste
With your perfectly square shape
And rough chiseled edges
The cheese and salt you are made of is so delightful
It leaves a trace throughout my taste buds
Plus when you are put in my mouth
You break ever so easy
Like a fragile sugar cube melting
Even when your box is open
A heavenly scent fills the air
From your strong cheesy aroma
