Love?
Your touch shivers my senses in the blistering heat of summer
And warms my blood in the excruciating chill of winter.
As your eyes lay on my limbs
I feel exulted
As you could be admiring any other being in the world
Yet you chose my mediocre presence.
I'd only hope to spend an eternity with you
I suppose the present will suffice
Until future nostalgia sets into place of you and me.
Life moves on as we foreknow.
But I never expected I would be expected to live without someone life you after all we've been through.
Is it too late to mutter the three simple words I love you?
