The Five Rings

Every two years,
each country stands proud with their flags,
determined and ready to fight.
Ready to charge into battle against each other,
where breaths are held tightly before each battle.
The spectators scream.
News anchors bring daily coverage,
on who has lost and who has won.
Tears and sweat drip down the competitors faces.
This is the only time
where there is war
without death.
