Loving Through the Distance
Every day that passes,
Seems to get longer than the one before.
I find myself staring blankly through my glasses,
Waiting to hear you knock on my door.
I stare up at the sky,
Wondering if you’re looking too.
I think of when we were together and it makes me want to cry.
I find that seeing you, has been long-overdue.
If only we weren’t so far apart,
I could be with you every day.
From the beginning you’ve always had my heart.
Without you, my life is dull and gray.
If I could just see your face,
Day after day I would be able to last a little longer.
When I hear your voice my heart begins to race.
Our love just grows stronger.
The only way to keep myself from thinking of you,
I have to keep my hands in a constant motion.
I find many ways to withhold the blues,
I love you through the distance no matter how far, it doesn’t change my devotion for you.
