Buried
Six Feet Under
I feel trapped
In a box
Made of regret
And despair
There was a force
Weighing down on me
Crushing me
With stress
Frustration
Depression
And the feeling of
Never being good enough
I was entombed in effort
Drowning in deadlines
Suffocated by strain
I could either fight it and resist the power
Ending up being pulled down deeper
Or just be carried along the waves of work
Floating
But as I decided to float
Water turned to dirt
Trying to breathe,
I inhaled the soil surrounding me
I couldn’t take it anymore
The lack of air
I took my last breath
And held it till the end of forever
