Favorite Quote:
STAY HUNGRY,STAY FOOLISH

He wanted to be a cop like his father,
A poet like his grandfather,
However, he became a criminal.
Why you may ask,
Did he decide to become one?
Well, it was not his doing,
But the society’s prejudice,
That tagged him as a criminal
His only mistake was that he liked men.
People’s accusatory looks made him question himself,
Was there no humanity left?
Each morning he dreaded,
Every moment a battle, to win people’s acceptance.
Alas! victory was not his.
Deserted and alone,
His faith at stake,
He did the world a favor,
And left for heavenly abode.

Thanks. The inspiration of this poem was how homosexuality is not fully accepted in the society. There are still a lot of people out there who look down upon this.

It is an interesting piece of work. Storylike poem, a confession. I do like it although I do not understand it completely ,  may I ask what inspired you to write it to help me understand it all the way through?
