Defeat
A long cold silence
The Battle is Lost
You felt the touch of cold steel
On your back
The Battle was long
and hard, and painful
All of the pain
And heartbreak
And suffering
For nothing
You look down at the Ruins of the Battle
You see the Losers rise
Rise from their Earthly homes
And even on the Winner's side
There are losers
You lift your gaze to the heavens
You gaze longingly at the Light
Then back to the Earth
the Cold Earth
the Cruel Earth
the Dying Earth
You follow the Light after Defeat
And come out, the Winner
