What You Cause
Things haven’t been the same since then.
I need my head resting on your chest,
you holding my hand,
because that’s the only thing
that seems to make sense anymore. Ever since that day
nothing feels like home to me.
My bed stopped feeling
like my own place,
I’m used to yours instead.
Even being in my own skin
doesn’t feel like my home.
Laying next to you,
my head on your chest hearing your heart beat,
you playing with my hair,
as I trace the outline of your lips, that feels like home now.
And I’m homesick for a place
I don’t even belong in.
