It's winter time darling, the season is near
For Laughing and singing and holiday cheer
For long sleeves and sweaters that cover the arms
of broken young souls that are covered with scars
Christmas is here, New Years to come
What would they say if I went for a run?
If I went for a run and the cars passing by
Came far too close just to say
Would they scream out in horror or just let it pass?
I am sure that they would get over it fast
Or would it be better?
If they could just look at me once and see past my red sweater?
It's winter time darling, didn't you hear?
It's time for laughing and singing and holiday cheer.
