“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” — Anais Nin

She took to the path trodden by time,
An age-old path that seemed to shine,
From the outer banks it appears to glow,
But once on the path you'd never know.
So there she stood, in the haze of a dream,
Half drowned by the peopled stream,
Shells of figures passing her by,
Nothing but hungry teeth and soulless eyes.

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

WOW! This poem is fantastic! I love the pattern you used for the rhyme, and I think it's a great example of how a simple piece can be extraordinary. It makes me think of curses and destiny, and it gave me chills! Congrats on such a wonderful work!
