Starry Nights
A midnight drop of rain,
Against a sole windowpane.
Maybe the reason it’s called pane,
To show the pain trapped inside.
Trapped inside the window to the soul.
Trapped within.
Starry nights,
Starry eyes,
Starry windows,
Starry cries.
A fleeting light,
Reflected in the beings within.
A beacon of light,
Allowing rational thinking to take place.
Wishing on a starry night,
For the soul to escape.
To roam free, and find its other half.
Starry windows,
Starry cries,
Starry hopes,
Starry sighs.
Lost in the dark,
A flicker remains,
Catches the teardrop,
Does not fade.
A reflection of the soul,
Broken, brave, and hopeful,
Starry eyes,
Starry breathes,
Starry days,
Starry nights.
