Pretty In Pink
Though I will not be broken
My words will be spoken
To the crowd that will listen
But few of those exist
The crowd intermingles
Like the sea of water dances
And even if I feel alone
I am bold in the clear blue waters
I stand proud and tall
Grand above all
I just want them to know they didn't break me.
Screaming Silence
She saunters into her quarters of isolation
To the common eye she is unaccompanied
Cold solitude concealed by a disguise
Sought to seek silence
Only to procure the most deafening of mute
Left to her own devices
Reflections creeping into her mind
Gaining dominance over the desired stillness
No longer a secure place of serenity
The hushed confinement
Driven to insanity
Screaming silence sacrifices the soul
Midday Rest
Blue sky
Golden hay
Loungin' as the days go by
Simple man
Calm at rest
Hard working
He is known at best
Next
Where will he go?
Who will know?
Moments turn into a lifetime
A little rest is
Never a crime
