Testing 1, 2, 3
I’m writing this just to see where it goes,
Much like when I finally tested the waters of us,
And you’re no Rose, and I‘m certainly no Jack (unless you add the a**),
But we’re destined for the fate of the floating door:
One’s holding on, but the other says to let it go,
Sinking into the deep waters that match your eyes.
I’m writing this just to see where it goes,
Like Mythbusters (but for literature and love),
Testing to see how something will react
When you mix it with an independent variable
(And I mean independent)
And what the lasting effects are after it’s all said and done.
I’m writing this just to see where it goes,
Like when you test your limits in anything,
Pushing the boundaries just until they’re about to break,
And ending up backing out at the very last second,
(Because you can’t handle committing)
Running away on your cold feet.
