The Conformist's Shadow
I am invisible, clear as a ghost,
As I walk beside my oblivious host,
I am nothing but black, nothing but air,
No one even bothers to notice I’m there.
Yet I am her desire, I am her mind
I am what she hides and to what she is blind,
I am her true nature, I feed off her youth,
I wish only that she will uncover the truth.
For if she does not, she will die and decay,
Only I will be left of this girl led astray,
If I can’t save her, she’ll be lost to the masses,
Lost to the tide of time as it passes.
