Memories
The blood will wash away and the scars will fade,
But the memories stay,
Forever.
I never wanted to be this way,
I wanted my story on paper,
Not my wrist.
People say I need help,
As if I don’t know that.
I’m suffering,
I know what I’m going through.
The world has shown me that no one cares,
It taught me to hold my tongue,
Keep my problems to myself.
So I never shared my secret,
People just saw the scars,
They asked questions I didn't’
want to answer,
Because I thought they’d never care.
And they never really did.
Most left me behind,
Others kicked me to the curb,
Told me I was
Worthless,
That I shouldn't be here,
But those are my secrets,
No one will ever hear.
I won’t ever tell a soul.
The blood will wash away,
The scars will fade,
But the
Memories,
Always,
Stay.
