Maybe...
Maybe I shouldn't
Maybe I should
How can I not?
I don't think I could.
How could I
When all you see is her?
Open your eyes, I'm here.
I could be yours.
The way your eyes aren't even yours
But hide someone behind,
How can I see behind those doors?
I saw it once, once upon a time.
When I looked into those eyes,
Instead of stopping at the gate
I saw the real you. I didn't see lies.
And not a moment too late.
The moment went on,
As did the chance
I think in my head,
"Will he ask me to dance?"
The song plays slowly
I wonder, wonder will he come?
As I stand on the floor, swaying,
I see you, and I begin to hum.
You take my hand
And I take yours.
The feeling like sand
Rushing up on the shores.
The music dies down.
My heart skips a beat.
"I'll see you around."
I can't let go of that heat.
So maybe I should fall for you.
Would you fall too?
If you did, I'd be there,
Be there, to catch you.
