The One Forgotten

I am forgotten,
The person left behind,
The one who they shun,
And decide to forget,
I am their nightmare,
But I’m also their salvation,
Yet I can’t save them,
Because I’m the one forgotten,
They have beaten me to the ground,
And left me to starve,
For they feared me,
Hated me,
In spite of my help,
I could do nothing,
But sit here and wait,
I have nothing left,
I can only sit here and wait,
Because I am the one forgotten.
