Memories
my love, we are composed of memories
we house inside our souls. memories
that shout whisper scream swoon.
for good, for bad, they're us
even if they fade away like dawns
they are still there or at least still were,
making love in our subconscious.
the only thing i ask of you
is to respect my memories,
handle them lightly, slowly, kiss them to sleep
however awful they are.
May you do the same with me?
i want to house you inside of me,
i want to hold your memories
and we can make our own together
because we are composed of memory
and, if we share our memories,
we share parts of each other
and i want to share you.
i want to give you parts of me,
i want you to give me parts of you.
i want you, i want your memories
for we are composed of memories.
