Things You're Too Afraid to Say
Crevices sculpt under the eye,
creating a definition of tiredness,
and the awareness that the one who is closest to you
is unreachable by the stretch of an arm.
This saddens you,
Because every mole, dimple, and
Hair attached to his body is a reason for your affection.
You become weary,
Because you’re in love.
You may not see it right away,
Or you may deny this fact but you are.
The spring in his step as he embraces the world in a positive manor,
His defined muscles in his humble but masculine stance.
It fazes you.
The way you melt when he looks at you,
Always seeming like the very first time.
The thick, brown hair you miss twirling with your fingers,
Watching as he breathes deeply in comfort.
The poorly written jokes he tells you,
But you laugh anyway because they're still funny.
When he kisses you and you can’t help but smile.
Its funny how much he’s taught you
From what little he knew in the beginning.
He’s your better half, and your everything.
Yet you cant bring yourself to say it out loud.
Not yet. It’s too soon.
But you already know it.
