We all carry a continuum of beauty and light
that will always prevail—
it will always etch its way through
the plastered mask that is our face.
One’s beauty and light is not obvious to each,
but still is there and is brightened by the opportunity
to show
courage.
This beauty and light is what makes us stand tall,
helps us speak up with grace,
leads us to serve our fellow mankind,
and cheers up the disheveled and weary.
It is compassion and inspiration,
confidence and belief,
love and kindness.
