Confusion
Out of breath and overwhelmed by situations I cannot wrap my mind around.
Around this time of day I'd usually be somewhere in smiles telling jokes and being the host of a good time
but the clouds came and took of the normal routine of mine.
The smiles that enveloped me melted into soggy tears of surprise that the sun that had helped me to find myself had lost its marvelous shine.
The times of joy and enjoyment abandoned us and we were left with nothing and no one to comfort and kiss the scars that would still be there when we awake.
The gates guarded by angels and covered in white seemed like the right place to go
but how would we get there without an elevator or flight of stairs?
Death was our only means of transportation
the emptiness was motivation to take that chance to find out if heaven accepted the pitiful dead, driven to choose their own fate.
