Doormat
I am the most beautiful doormat you have ever walked over
I feel the soles of your shoes pounding down on every inch of my body
Pain in my ankles, my thighs, my waist, all over my back, and my mind,
You walk over me every day but never notice a thing
You never notice my beauty nor the pain you cause me
But what you don’t know is that this doormat won’t be here forever
You will step on me for years until you thoughtlessly tear me apart
And you will never realize you ruined the most beautiful doormat you have ever walked over.
