Watch and Wait, the Fall Symphony
The autumn leaves are truly beautiful. Leaning over a black chain fence. Listening to the whistling of the frosty swells. I sit, and watch them, gazing at the breath taking hues of red and yellow on their leaves. Like something straight from a beautiful painting, so flawless, so noble, almost larger than life itself. I continue to watch, I continue to listen, straining my ears so that they may whisper their secrets to me. And still, I watch. Vigilant, unmoving. Basking in the sweet irony of the warm, welcoming colors carried by icy arctic wind. I behold the dim light, shining through the leaves like stained glass. And once again, I watch. But as the wind nip at my skin, and as the sun mutters a sad farewell, I begin to feel a change, no longer am I watching… now, I am waiting.
Watch and wait, bask in the autumn symphony
