Gazing across shimmering blue waters
at the ship far out in the distance.
A ship that has traveled many miles
on treacherous seas.
Like many others she is worn down,
wood fading from once glittering green,
to a pale blemished sea foam.
Sails that once stood tall and proud, now seem to
shift in the warm breeze.
There is a name on the stern, a beautiful name,
one that has been lost, carved the gold chipping away.

This name has haunted me for years,
I return to the beach where she and I were found,
ship wrecked and forgotten,
The pearl of the sea, and my darling;
gone.
I can no longer set foot in what I used to call home,
for her and I, we were happy.
Seeing the memory of her wisp by like ghosts\
tearing wounds in my already
broken heart.
Wishing and waiting to be reunited
where we can set once again as lovers
on the unforgiving sea.

This was inspired when I watching Pirates of the Carribean and I my love for being on the ocean.
