A Proclamation
The body; so strong for as long as You can remember,
Feels for the first time the pain of self-inflicted wounds
Wrought day after day since the beginning.
To finally see the consequences,
Trembling and true fear take hold
And it weakens the body for just enough.
Just enough to listen to that same song you’ve been “listening” to for the past two weeks.
Perhaps it could have been any song,
But it unlocked You.
THE SOUL FINALLY HAS CONTROL!!!
No longer are You forced to watch the destruction of you.
You grasp and cling in desperation to the reigns kept away for so long.
Your prison begins to crumble and oh,
What a terrible thing that shines through cracks!
Every atom of your being is flooded with
Every
Missed
Feeling.
And they are all transformed into into rage.
Born from seeing so many free souls from Your body’s barred windows,
Righteous furiosity sweeps in and becomes the greatest emotion you’ve ever felt.
After the goosebumps fade,
The body defeated, the Soul
Demands three words to be written
On your hands
On your bedroom walls
On the internet for the world to see,
I am here.
