Repeats
A snowy white blanket
Set upon my world
Sparkling and pure
Untouched by human life.
Delicate and cold,
It puts life to sleep
Until the sun comes out
And takes the sheet from my grasp.
New heartbeats
Made by our mother,
Nature.
We awake from our slumber
Under winter’s blanket
And blink at the warm rays
The sun casts on our faces.
The world starts to stir;
So do we.
Lush green life
Fully awake now.
The sun tints my skin
Ever so slightly
And the rain
Keeps me dancing.
Birds sing a harmony
While bees hum
Lyrics are whispered by the wind
And hail keeps a beat.
This is the song of summer.
Falling down.
Like a shower of gold.
Or red.
Or orange.
A crunch under my bare toes.
Half naked trees stick out of the ground.
I take in a breath of crisp air
Smells of apple, cinnamon, and pumpkin.
It keeps me awake just long enough
To take in the colorfully painted and scented picture
Of Autumn.
