Mad World
We live in a world where love causes pain yet we oversee it
We live in a world where we fight for peace and have men overseas for it
We live in a world where we want to make a difference but refuse to be different
We live in a world where we want change but even Obama and Tupac couldn’t make it
We live in a world where we waste time getting wasted, we drink to live yet drink to forget past mistakes and regrets not realizing the true consequences of our actions
We live in a world where perfectionism is expected which leads us to believe that those of us who cannot do are undermined, belittled and neglected
We live in a world where being you is not seen as beautiful
We live in a world where we are mistreated, misused, misunderstood, but never missed
We live in a world where stories aren’t heard they are told
We live in a world where were all seen as literature, some finer than others only to be judged by our covers
We live in a world where fires burn leaving embers only to remind us of things that once where
We live in a world where we deal the pain we’ve been dealt for the sole purpose of not wanting to be alone
We live in a world where people are judged for being gay with the perfect idealism of being straight
