Lone Child
Lost in the cruelest shadow,
A boy is sentenced to cry and wallow.
“He is evil,” the people say
But all he wants to do is play...
In the blankness of the child’s room,
He will stay until his doom.
The days are growing together to this lone child,
But his heart remains gentle and mild.
The boy is destined to die alone,
With only his blackened room to call home.
In the cadence of his lonely heart,
He remains away from them, in a sense apart....
The world has abandoned this little boy,
To even his friends his existence is treated as coy.
But he’ll pay them back for kindness is limited,
for his inner evil is becoming more rabid.
I devil has taken him under his wing.
As the axe he wields begins to ferociously swing,
All he now can hear is the raining of blood.
Head hung in horror, he drags his feet in the mud.
The evil within has earned its keep,
For he now dream of death when he is asleep.
Now he must follow this black path,
All Because he couldn’t hide his inner wrath.
