Will you ever Return?

I’ve been staring out of the window,
For how long, I cannot measure,
Hoping you would emerge out of the blue.
Time lapses,
Into nothingness.
And I’ve been waiting for I do not know how long.
I do not know what keeps the hope inside me alit.
I dread to think about it lest it should shatter my courage.
The candle of hope shall always burn,
But the question is: Will you ever return?
