Words are always running through my mind
Words that don’t make sense
I don’t know what words to find
But I do now it’s making me tense
I feel like I have potential,
I would love to write something good
I’m just striving to be influential
But, I’ve done all that I could
Between me and this blank paper
There’s an ongoing fight
I guess I just need a mind-shaper,
Someone to tell me when I’m right
I’m still waiting, for some inspiration
Waiting for a spark of intelligence
Instead I find myself in frustration
Just searching for some excellence




I find myself in a deep thought
Just waiting for some inspiration
Waiting to get a vision
A thought
A motive
A spark
Nothing happens
I sit waiting for a flash of genius
Still waiting
Then I have an unfortunate realization
I find that the inspiration isn’t flashing
It’s time to stop waiting
It’s time to make things happen
Some are inspired by people
Others by places
And then there are the lucky ones
The people that find inspiration everywhere
And then there’s me…
The one who’s still waiting
Be remarkable
Be successful
Be impressive
Inspire me
I’m still looking
But, I’ll stop waiting
