Paloma
Though you tore your face,
I long to
Embrace.
Not you,
But all we
Had.
Is it over?
Are we
Done?
I can’t believe
Now I feel
Like one.
We were
Two.
Remember?
A pair.
The kids
At school
Would say
“Move over!
Here she comes!”
So when you came,
You had a chair.
Next to me.
Because you were right
There.
You wanted
It that way.
Now you seem
So far away.
But in reality
You’re sitting
Next to me.
Were we ever
Really that close?
Or was
It
Just a
Dream?
Because,
I think,
I’m starting to
Realize,
Thing aren't
Always as
They seem.
