Close your eyes she said
the rustle of leaves fallen from trees
still so alive even though dead
face glowing, brighten by the glorious sun obscuring what you see
dust and fresh new air mix and tickle the nose
wind silent itself causes a cacophony of sound
blinks and scratches coughs and exhales small signs of life
open your eyes mother nature says
