Dead Light; Bright Light
The light flickers before your eyes;
But you don’t notice it.
The light goes out before you say stop;
But you don’t mind it.
Your candle is out, my dear;
Why don’t you save it?
I try to return the light;
But you don’t want it.
I scream and cry at you;
But you only block me.
Nightmares fill me at night;
Of you and your dead light.
Mother tries giving you light;
But you only yell at her.
Father tries giving you light;
But you don’t accept it.
Brother tries giving you light;
But now you’re torn.
You finally start crying;
You want your light.
But we won’t give it to you;
So you search for it.
You have no idea where to go;
So you walk blindly.
You finally see it though;
Long, bright stairs.
You walk up them;
Curiosity filling you.
You find the light you need;
By your true Father.
