Mind's Eye
A mind’s eye is a thing of wonder.
It is always open as a child, but,
As the mind grows older, the eye, weaker.
A mind’s eye knows no bounds.
It connects to what is appeasing, and
The eye holds onto it for years.
My mind’s eye caught sight of writing,
Of learning, of music. Of music.
I caught sight of my music.
A mind’s eye opens all doors to look in,
But only studies the pleasing.
For me, it was creativity.
My mind’s eye found the door for me.
My mind’s eye made me who I am today,
A musician, a vocalist, a writer, a hard-worker.
Most important, above all else,
My mind’s eye makes me, me.
For me, my mind’s eye never closes
