A wrecked car and a closed casket is all I can see.
I’m blinded by the tragedy right in front of me.
From the sky, a drop lands on my skin.
Awaking from this fog seems like a sin.

Dark gray clouds tear open with heavy rain.
I don’t know how to move on, there’s nothing left but pain.
The sun is blocked and there is no light.
Even the stars are gone, leaving the blackest night.

The temperature suddenly drops, welcoming a heavy storm.
Bringing a chilly breath, the wind steals my last hope to be warm.
Cold and insensitive approaches the winter I cannot bear.
Ripping from this world, a life so young, is just not fair.

A warm visible mist breaks through the ice and escapes my lips.
Slowly falling, flakes pile and cover the sky, creating an eclipse.
Lost and alone, I don’t know what to do or where to go.
How can I get past or see through this snow?

My eyes spill over, tears roll down my cheeks.
An escape from this ache is what my hearts seeks.
My soul is filled with despair and dread.
The dream is gone, my love is dead.
