Hide And Seek
They carry you down six feet under
I do not cry
For I know you are not really gone
You are playing hide and seek
You are giggling behind that nearby tree
Asking, "Why are you crying?"
And they will answer, "This is a sad day for this little girl will never turn a day after three."
But we know better
They don't understand
They think they know you best
But you were mine and always will be
I held you the day you came into this world
And the day your body went limp in my arms
But somehow you came back through the fog
Through a large amount of darkness and rain
You smile in your satin dress and blond curls
And that's when I feel the tears and pain.
