My Lips Are Knives
My lips are knives
That tear at your very fibers
And fragile tissues and tendons
With volatile lies.
My lips are knives
They release malice
And kill your insides
With a pain that
I should keep to myself.
My lips are knives
They curse and spread
Demons and devils
Whose toxins poison
The purest of souls
My lips are knives
They leave blossoms of blood
On canvases of skin
That tend to never heal.
My lips are knives
They make it feel better
With kisses and
Honeydew words
But reality brings
The burn to an inferno.
My lips are knives
That try to caress you
Within my very tangible being
And the echoes my words leave
But regardless
Pain you to no end
My lips are knives
So for the safety
Of yourself
I’d advise you to
Never kiss those lips
Or listen to their soft
P u l s a t I n g echoes
That lead you
To your slow demise
