is this real
could the answer be so surreal
to the question asked
a millenium past
the reason why
so unworthy to die
treasures hidden
lovers smitten
lies casually told
family gradually sold
mother against brother
sister against son
the world turned upside down
with gold to towards run
temples in ruin
belongings strewn
across the floor
wanted no more
the way of life
lost in the strife
friends with cannons
the gods themselves
openmouthed at the horror
the screams and roars
consequences
of the blood-ridden moors.
