Suddenly filled by a
Screeching serenade
The owls are nigh

Bits of down sway delicately
Trailing away from the hectic scene
Tawny, snowy, chestnut, charcoal
All strewn pell-mell
Over the damp grass

Warm saccharine eyes
Upon heart-shaped faces
Scraping across
The lunulate cream
Of the waxing moon
