For My Dear Friend
What did she know,
How would the wind blow,
For another face in the crowd
Sadly always,
She'd never erase,
All the mistakes she made
Soon it was eating up her mind,
Stealing her time.
Defying all that's right.
Confused but somehow alright.
Unaware of her own plight
She sought to see the light
She sought to realize
Who she was
One day she came home
Abandoned, alone
'Cause her loved ones didn't love her anymore.
Not once she tried
As hopeless as it were
'Cause she knew she was doomed from the start.
I hope she knows that it's alright
Hope one day she sees the light
Unsure and unprepared
I wish she never felt so scared.
And it goes on like the beating of her heart
Which she wished had never started
Before she fell apart
But it's too late for that now
Try to patch it up somehow
And tears would only soak
The pillows and the sheets,
The blade would only cut
Couple layers of her skin,
The drinks could try to numb
The pain thats seeping in,
But nothing really saves her
From all that is within.
