A little child’s crying

was full of tears and fear of dying.

A busy man at work,

with a family clothed in threadbare shirts,

their hunger in the shadows lurked,




so, with my pen, I paid him.


A young, unmarried woman,
doing things she knew she shouldn’t,


was forced into a life of sin, so, with my pen, I saved her.

A couple married several years,




with lukewarm love, and divorce near,



their arguments caused children’s tears,



so, with my pen, I loved them.

A notebook of blank, white pages; soon written on with words of advice.
