First Love
A girl who has never known,
What it is to love,
Only dreams of,
Happily ever after,
And wants more than anything,
To feel safe,
Breaking down her walls,
Enter a boy,
One that doesn't open up,
Or trust anyone,
But seeks a girl,
That will make him forget,
The hurt and betrayal,
He has known all his life,
The girl notices the boy,
Is drawn to him,
And she quickly falls for him,
Even with the knowledge,
Of his past,
And one day,
She slips him a note;
A list of reasons why she likes him,
Which starts their relationship,
Only the girl didn't know,
That the boy had been in love,
With someone else,
He says she ripped his heart out,
And that she was,
In the past,
The girl should've known,
It was too good to be true,
But she was niave,
Stupid,
In love,
And she actually trusted him,
He was acting,
Pretending,
To be happy with her,
Even made her believe,
He loved her back,
But he didn't,
That was apparent,
Was he really that cold-hearted?
Or was he just keeping her out,
To protect her from getting hurt?
The girl had to end it,
Because the boy refused to,
And wouldn't tell her,
His true feelings,
So now,
She'll have to wonder.
I'll always have to wonder.
