The Drift
I want to go where the lights shine bright
Where fortune vomits its healthy victims
Where the long green numbers have no value
I let every face sink into my pounding heart
I long for the drift
I want my feet touch every soil
My mind to hit every word in every book
My words to touch every soul
And to understand my reason for being
To find my place
For beauty to no longer be my desire
To find acceptance within myself
But most of all to never stop living.
