Waiting for the train
The train is coming down the track.
I can feel the rumble this far back.
It is so far, but I know it's there;
I should get up, but I don't dare
For then I'd hurt you somewhere deep;
Be full of anger, and no room to weep.
I couldn't bear to leave you my dear
But then that leaves me laying here,
Waiting for a train I cannot board,
Playing a game i cannot afford,
And at the end I will not win.
I'll be locked out and never let in.
So I'll live in these moments you are mine
Loving the second left of my time.
I close my eyes and begin to cry
Hoping to save my heart so I cannot die.
I feel the rumble, though I remain.
I am still here, waiting for the train.
